I truly loved working on all of the pieces in this series… and I think each of them is super strong in their own way. But this one just ~ hits different! The color palette, the lighting, and the perspective all came together to create something special. With this as the third piece in the series, I felt like I was really picking up steam, and it fueled me to keep the momentum flowing 🤙

THE COLORFUL QUEEN
Contrasting the deep blues that developed with this series, I found myself gravitating towards creating something with a more dynamic palette. I can’t think of a more colorful reef-dweller than the striking patterns of the Angel Fish!

There are dozens of types of angel fish in all kinds of crazy colors, my favorite of which has to be the Queen. The blues and yellows just seem to radiate energy… coupled with the distinctive circular “crown” on their foreheads - they are quite magnificent to behold!

SLOW & STEADY
I have always loved sea turtles. They have a prehistoric dinosaur vibe that exudes longevity and wisdom. They live such long lives, I feel like we could likely learn a lot from them. They are always such a joy to encounter. On a recent foiling trip to Costa Rica there was one morning in particular when they seemed to be everywhere. I was literally dodging them like a slalom course in the waves. It was an awesome experience!

I felt like the Sea Turtles was a great piece to feature on this bottle, as they (among many others) could certainly benefit from our efforts to reduce plastic bottle waste - which inevitably and unfortunately, ends up in the oceans. If we work together I think we have the power to reverse this. Here’s to healthy hydration with style, cheers 💧!

IT'S ALL GREEK TO ME
I have always thought Sea Horses were pretty bizarre! Technically, they are small bony fish in the genus “Hippocampus” which roughly translates from the Ancient Greek meaning “Horse Sea Monster” Looking at these guys, I’d say this is fairly accurate 🤪 Although I like to think of them as friendly, rather than monstrous!
